Blustery Winds

After yesterday’s Springlike conditions, the blustery winds that greeted us this morning seemed especially harsh. But that is New England. New Englanders are so used to constantly changing weather that there are generally two possible responses to good weather. One is, “..well, we deserve it…”   The other is, “…we’ll pay for this no doubt..”  Sometimes you get both responses.  But we do have changing weather and climate change has only made the changes more extreme.

In any case, blustery, cold weather has returned.   Much to Merlin’s delight, the stove is lit.

Fergus prefers the sun.

An after breakfast nap is generally on his agenda.

While they were all cozy, enjoying their morning, I made some oatmeal for the girls.

These feathers are collecting in the corner.20131119-094032.jpgPrudence is molting now. That leaves only Brianna laying. Beatrix is still molting. Amber has finished molting but she is not laying. She didn’t lay last winter so maybe it is too cold and dark for her. She has a point.

Winter does seem to be coming. Stay warm everyone!

The weather has changed and we may have only a couple of warmish days left to finish up those outside chores. Everyone at your house looks nice and cozy.

They make the best of it, don’t they? I think you may be right about the warm days….they will be few and far between now…we will have to bundle up for outside chores…and dream of Spring.

Thank you for visiting Brookwood Shire. Please feel free to leave a comment. Your thoughts are most welcome.
