I have been enjoying beautiful Springlike weather on the Oregon Coast for a few days. After a snowy cold winter in New England, the gardens here are a beautiful sight. The rich colors and soft greens are more than welcome. Here are a few pictures of the many flowers here.

A drive down the coast reveals more stunning scenery.

The rocks at Cannon Beach rise like huge lumps in the mist.

We stayed in Newport for two nights.

This is the view from our room. Looking left.

Looking right. The lighthouse beyond Nye Beach. Just lovely.

We spent a morning at the Aquarium in Newport.

We saw Puffins.

A Sea Otter swimming happily.

And many different kinds of fish.
Unfortunately the seal lion and seal exhibit was closed. But later, near the pier in Bayfront we saw this.

Some locals basking in the sun. I think Merlin would approve.

It is a lovely area and a perfect respite from the too long winter we have been having this year.
I will leave you with this lovely fuschia….

…spotted just outside a shop. A feast for the eyes…and for the soul.

We head south tomorrow….
