Mighty Merlin Returns

The squirrels have been feasting on the seed and oranges that I put out for the birds. And Merlin doesn’t like it. His tail has been swishing angrily all morning. Alas, to no avail. The squirrels will not be deterred from their quest.

This squirrel is paying NO attention to Merlin.

An indignant Merlin watches.

He is ignored.

Merlin tries to get a better look.

Do you think this squirrel is worried?

Or this one?

Mighty Merlin cannot believe it. He will have to think about this.

Or maybe just take a nap!

  1. One can often think better after said nap.. especially when near the woodstove.

Merlin know the right thing to do, nap and dream of catching a squirrel. I love feeding the squirrels they need to eat during the winter too and their antics are so amusing. Great pictures.

  3. How adorable. I love squirrels (we don’t have them in Sydney which makes it a lot easier to love them) and I’m sure they are clever enough to understand the concept of glass. Poor Merlin obviously does as well and realises there’s no point in beating his head against a brick wall (or a window).

Thank you for visiting Brookwood Shire. Please feel free to leave a comment. Your thoughts are most welcome.
