The Wait Continues

Still no eggs! I think I am being impatient. Some books say 20 weeks…others 18.It is getting dark earlier and that can affect laying. So we put two electric candles in the window box. They add light to the coop.

During the summer the girls enjoyed sleeping in the windows. But now that it is colder at night I have been closing the windows. So we mounted a couple of nesting boxes for them. So far they have ignored them, but if they like them we might get more. I know they are supposed to roost at night, and most of them do, but Amber and Prudence really like the windows.

I love the girls, they are beautiful. The cat in the basket and the dog on the couch make it a cozy home
